And for me it’s not all about kink or sex. I’m also that regular guy that likes to meet up for drinks, hanging out, a nice discussion, etc.
About 5 years ago I sparked my kinky/fetish side when I saw a guy online on Grindr who had links to his social media showing him in all kinds of gear. I really liked watching that but did not pursue it any further at the time.
A few years later I met a different guy online on Grindr who eventually turned out to be the same person the other guy visited years before that. I only found out when I visited his home and saw his gear room. It was after that that my interest was truly peaked.
Apparently I am what they would call a Gearhead. I like technical stuff, which is also why they named me Scotty in a airsoft group I played with a lot in the past.
In my mind it relates more to the fact that I like to be in gear, I especially like tight fitting gear. It’s also not just a sexual thing for me to be in gear, it’s a me-thing that makes me feel good. It’s like wearing a nice outfit ^^
I would like to experiment with BDSM too, we’ll see where that leads me. What I like and don’t like.
I started this website to share my experiences as a Gearhead and with BDSM. I had a lot of questions and unknowns starting out, my way is definitely not the way but maybe it can inspire others. As time goes on I’ll post experiences, but probably also thoughts on different related subjects I feel like sharing/discussing.
And yes, the name for this site was inspired by Dr. Who. YANA popped into my head as I was thinking about site names.
Gear
Over the last few years I’ve gathered a few things in my collection. I have had a lot of fun combining different types of gear 🙂
The list will inevitably grow over time as I encounter more gear that I like.
Wetsuits love the tight feel. I’ve had experience with wetsuits as kid. Probably on of my root kink experiences.
Latex Mostly suits, preferably tight fitting because I like the feel and buddy hugging latex looks better to me.
Gas masks I really like the look, especially when combined with other gear in my collection.
MX-gear like the suit, body protector, helmets, boots.
Lycra sports gear like cycling gear or leggings, the latter I also see as a very practical piece of gear when I go running.
Military gear like camo gear, plate carriers, airsoft replica’s, etc. I’m not so much into military stuff but I like the look. I also played airsoft a lot in the past.
Gear I like but don’t own myself yet. Again this list is not finite as I explore and learn.
Firefighter gear like the fire retardant gear, Haix boots, mask and breathing gear. I would probably by Haix boots first since I really liked the feel when I tried a friend’s pair.
Hobbies
Bouldering and climbing take up the majority of my time. It has turned out to be a very important aspect in my life. It’s good for my coordination and helps me challenge myself. And it’s one of the moments in life where I can shut out other thoughts and focus on that one thing. So a very good way to wind down 🙂
Love the mountains, I mostly go hiking in the mountains. Definitely a place where I go to wind down and feel most at ease. I also like a bit of amateur photography, love getting that one shot. But without any prep, I shoot what I like and hope I capture that one moment. Especially outdoors, love being there in general.
The last few years I’ve also rekindled my love for skiing. Kinda lay dormant for a long time but now I’m back, and on slopes I don’t stop until the last lift 😛
Electronics and DIY are another thing I like. I’ve build up a small shop over the years. I’m no expert but I can work on a circuit and design what I need. Each time I learn a bit more and get better at it.
Music would definitely be another import thing in my life, it bring so many good things to my mental table. My taste is very eclectic, what I listen too depends very heavily on my mood.
According to Spotify I was a Vampire in 2023 because I listened to “emotional, atmospheric music more then most”. My top genres apparently were Rock, Dance/Electronica, Progressive House, Indietronica and Deep House. I say apparently because I mostly don’t know what genre a band or artist belongs to, I just who I listen to what I Like 🙂
Looking up a few artists I frequently listen to I can understand why this list came up.
I also like going to concerts but really don’t do that much, definitely on the list to do more. Festivals not so much, it can overwhelm my ADHD brain and they’ve become overpriced in my opinion.
